We are very pleased to announce, for the first time, that on June 1 this year, to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Wood Art Museum, we will reopen the institution, in part, with a fulminating temporary exhibition dedicated to the story of a life of our community museum.

Ladies and gentlemen, dear friends,
We are very pleased to announce, for the first time, that on June 1 this year, to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Wood Art Museum, we will reopen the institution, in part !, with a fulminating temporary exhibition dedicated to the story of a life of our community museum.
We will thus honor the history of MAL, one of the oldest museums in Romania and our pride, of the people of Câmpulungen. Throughout six rooms on the ground floor of the building we will meet again with the people of Câmpulung Moldovenesc another time and we will leave on the thread of a story that begins at the end of the XIX century and whose main characters - Ștefureac, Veslovschi, Leontieș, Brăescu, Sârghie and many others - fought hard to found, collect and preserve a heritage of inestimable value, which will reach us today, and beyond.
Entry is free between June 1-6. Because we are celebrating 85 years since the museum was established, the program between June 1-6 is special, as follows:
TUESDAY, JUNE 1st
11:00 - We celebrate Children's Day, with games and contests, craft demonstrations, stories and lemonade
15:00 - We officially reopen the museum, along with city officials
17:00 - We open the temporary exhibition "MAL 85 - A new beginning"
18:00 - Concert of the academic choir, conductor prof. Emil Forfotă
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2nd
12:00 - We open the temporary exhibition "MAL 85 - a new beginning"
16:00 - Workshops and demonstrations of folk craftsmen
16:30 - We open the "Donor Gallery" in the attic of the museum
17:00 - 19:30 - Scientific symposium - first part
19:30 - Live concert of folk music, children's vocal group "Floare de colț", led by prof. Liviu Boșneag
20:00 - Live concert of folk music, vocal-instrumental group "Piatra șoimului", led by Birgil Macovei
THURSDAY, JUNE 3rd
12:00 - We open the temporary exhibition "MAL 85 - A new beginning"
16:00 - Workshops and demonstrations of folk craftsmen
17:00 - 19:30 - Scientific symposium - second part
19:30 - Live concert of folk music, vocal-instrumental group "Plaiurile Pojorâtei", folk ensemble led by Gheorghe Străjer
20:00 - Live concert of folk music, vocal-instrumental group "Florile rarăului", vocal group of children guided by Mrs. Geta Zbranca

FRIDAY, JUNE 4th

18:00 - Live concert of folk music, the "Silver Trumpets" marching band, students of the children's club guided by prof romeo constantin grosu, Niţă Bârsă and Daniel Sabie from Câmpulung
18:30 - Live concert of folk music, taraful "Runculețul", students of the children's club guided by romeo constantin grosu from Câmpulung
20:00 - Launch of "Mediateca Ocolului Câmpulung" - photo-video-sound archive coordinated by Ovidiu Ștefeligă - cocktail party
SATURDAY, JUNE 5th
10:00 - We open the temporary exhibition "MAL 85 - a new beginning"
10:00 - Workshops and demonstrations of popular craftsmen
18:00 - Live concert of folk music, the ensemble "Cetina", folk ensemble from customs guided by prof. Michael piticari, which operates in the cultural center led by nicolae ciocan
19:00 - Launch of "The road of peasant houses" - the tourist route for tourists, cocktail party
SUNDAY, JUNE 6th
10:00 - We open the temporary exhibition "MAL 85 - a new beginning"
10:00 - Workshops and demonstrations of folk craftsmen
18:00 - Live concert of folk music, the "Arcanul" ensemble, the artistic direction Bogdan Ciumău, the musical direction Liviu Țăran, works at the Dorina Țăran Cultural Center, Fundu Moldovei
18:30 - Live concert of folk music, band under the direction of Prof. Romeo Constantin Grosu

In the first week of spring, as dozens of schoolchildren crossed our threshold with congratulations to their mothers, a symbolic event took place behind the museum's curtain. The old wooden cart, centuries old, perhaps the most important piece of our collection, returned home, to the museum, from the warehouse.

Behind the doors of the building in Calea Transilvaniei number 10, four ladies and four gentlemen form the current team of the Wood Art Museum. Until the summer museum reopens, hold their fists. The success of the museum will be the success of the whole community!
